Built in 1972 in Groningen, Holland as a three-masted schooner that cruised the Caribbean. She was later rebuilt as a navigation training ship then refitted in 2006 with a new and more powerful engine with all modern navigational equipment. She was moved to the Philippines to serve as an adventure cruise ship. In 2013, she was renamed Discovery Palawan and underwent a USD 1.5 million renovation for a fresh, modern look.

Discovery Palawan has spacious relaxation areas and tastefully decorated cabins. At almost 50-meters in length 8.5-meters in width, she can accommodate 32 guests with 20 cabins in total. There is an air-conditioned salon and dining area, camera room, sun deck, 2 shaded decks and a further outdoor dining area and bar to enjoy the sea air. 16 lower deck standard rooms and 4 upper deck rooms, are all equipped with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.

Discovery Palawan travels the rich dive sites of Tubbahata National Park, the spectacular diving of Apo Reef or the numerous wrecks of Coron. With a spacious dive platform and experienced guides, divers can hope to see whale sharks, manta rays and hammerhead sharks as well as amazing coral reefs on the Tubbahata dive cruise, and snorkelers are more than welcome to join in with the Apo Reef cruise to experience the underwater beauty of the Philippines.
