SS Thorfinn began the subject of liveaboard diving at famous Truk Lagoon since 1980. SS Thorfinn and her team were the first and sill largest vessel in this trade catering exclusively to serious divers seeking the most below the surface. Although large, she is not crowded and offer fine space for just 20 divers.
There are 10 air-conditioned staterooms with in-room vanities, TV’s and DVD players, indirect lighting and full length closets. Private showers and toilets are fitted in each of those rooms located on ‘D’ and ‘E’ decks. Shared shower rooms and toilets are for the rooms on ‘C’ deck. Thors Lair is an exclusive luxury suite, featuring a huge king size bed, adjoining bed settee, 44 inch TV monitor/player, PC table/chair, carpeted walls, 4 view windows, walk-in closet, bar fridge, bedside lighting controls, and large shower/toilet room.
Dining Lounge serves daily meals in the buffet style. Guest Lounge features LED TV with DVD player, a CD player with IPOD connection, and a surround sound 6 speaker system. The library is well stocked with DVDs and paper books. The bar provides a range of beverages, both soft drinks and alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. Sun Deck and Spa Deck are very popular for a sunbath or a relax moment in the tub.
For certified divers, SS Thorfinn offers a dedicated Dive Deck with fresh water showers, large rinse tanks, and other amenities, and Camera Table with charging stations. Two launches and two additional speedy boats can take divers to/from dive sites fast and safe.
