Rebuilt in 2016, the MV Empress II offers liveaboard dive trips to Komodo National Park, Ambon, Raja Ampat and the Forgotten Islands. Previously participating in environmental projects to install over 350 mooring buoys in Southeast Asia, the MV Empress II has become familiar with some of the most secluded dive sites in Indonesia.
Constructed of steel, the Empress II is the perfect budget option for diving Komodo and Raja Ampat. She offers plenty of space for relaxation. Catering to a maximum of 10 divers, there are 4 twin cabins and 1 single cabin on the lower deck. Each cabin has A/C and portholes and bathrooms/showers are shared. The main deck features a large dining area, kitchen, living room and dive lift and deco chamber. The top deck is home to 2 sun decks, one featuring comfortable mattresses and a day bed, and the other with beanbags, bar and cinema under the stars.
Exploration of wild diving sites, fascinating and famous shipwrecks requires a high-class security systems. Therefore, the boat is equipped with many unusual devices, such as an electric lift to lower divers into the water, eliminating the need for a giant stride entry, a full-size decompression chamber for added safety benefits when diving remote areas and many tech-diver conveniences. Join Empress II and dive with schools of manta rays, see whales breaching at the surface and spot pygmy seahorses in this amazing and diverse region.
