Spirit of Freedom was built in 1992, and undergoes renovation on a yearly basis. She measures 37 meters long and 7.1 meters wide. She has 11 cabins, catering to a maximum of 26 guests. There are 4 different cabin styles to best suit your requirements. All cabins have air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms.
The dining saloon in the centre of the vessel serves as a meals area, briefing area, theatre room and general meeting place. The 42 inch wide screen TV is often the focus of attention for briefings, movies or documentaries, or the trip slide show. The ship's bar contains a good range of quality Australian & New Zealand wines, plus beer, UDL spirits and soft drinks, all at very reasonable prices. The forward lounge is another great place for chilling out and relaxing, has comfortable couch seating and beanbags, as well as a coffee machine, tea selection and hot water, library – including marine reference books, DVD library, Flat Screen TV & DVD. The top deck is a great place to relax between dives and in the evening, with undercover and open areas containing timber tables, chairs, comfortable lounge seating and sun-lounges.
The dive deck contains individual stations for 26 guests with dry storage above and a storage box under for every 2 divers. For photographers there is a camera wash tub, small camera table and air gun. Fresh water showers are located aft of the dive deck, and deck towels are provided after each dive. Spirit of Freedom offers 3, 4, and 7 nights trips to the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea, as well as special trips to the far north.
